What have you done to your car today?

Well done Andy, good to see you've maintained the momentum
I was a bit "white" when I ordered them! However it's done and they are here.

Hopefully the new MAF shall be installed and mapping can continue in 2014 (your assistance is always welcome)!

I think that's a job I need to do.
Have you got any links for brake pipe, fittings and a decent flaring tool by any chance?
Haven't got any links for the pipe as mine fell off the shelf at work ;-) but you want PVF (Poly-Vinyl Flouride) Coated Steel Brake Line Tubing, it should be a green colour.

I robbed the flaring tool from work too, this is the first link i found so you could probably get it cheaper or pick one up 2nd hand.

Pm me your address i'll send you all the nuts/joiners etc you'll need for nothing! One of these comes in handy too.

Just to chip in about brake lines. Cupro nickel is more than suitable for lines and is cheap and easier to flare than steel.

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=181251209168 - brake pipe, they also do the sizes for the fuel system.

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=181063197795 - pipe flaring tool, one size only but is a high quality item, seriously dont bother with cheaper multi size flarers, Sykes one would be good though if you could stomach the price.

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Produ...e & Fittings&gclid=CMHeypjyrLsCFdOWtAodtDMAHg - fittings, m10 x 1 no lead are the correct fittings for our car, lead style fittings will fit but I feel they don't have enough thread on them to be regarded as in safety, DM was the cheapest place I could find brass ones.

Hope this helps.

For brake pipe yes.

I think it's 5/16 for fuel pipe and 1/4 for the vent pipe. It was a while ago I bought it though.

Looks nice mate, I went for the whole gearset again for this car and a brace, But seems overkill for 380 bhp lol

Well drove my car for a bit and was fun! Skippy slidey wheel spinning bastard of a thing in the damp. Nearly amassed all of the stuff for robs car, the turbo spec is interesting and it might even be over 400bhp now rob....but stock looking, will be building the mechanicals up after Christmas .

Eye watering!

What spec have you gone for?

It's a GTX2863 with .64 A/R wanted it to spool very quickly.

Also has bronze bearing cage and stainless steel heat shields inside/ ceramic coated exhaust housing internal gate and a 3" shrouded inlet, I really wanted a smaller one but they only do that size with billet wheels.

Oh and an inline filter to protect my investment a little more.

It seems that this is the way forwards, gone are the days when you seem to order a turbo that would last years.

Just like you I've spec'd mine the same barring the coating just to make sure it lasts the stand of time!

Do it once do it properly otherwise you end up paying 2 or 3 times, I'm hoping this turbo will last the life of my ownership at least after all I am fifty lol so I'm on borrowed time now lol

It might seem expensive but it's better than paying £900 2 or 3 times in the long run because you've tried to save cash.
