never heard of a haldex diff going wrong, and the gearbox takes over 600hp in standard form,

the conversion also takes an audi clutch, so not hard to uprate.

you could also do it with an audi gearbox, 6 speed.

it just so happens ive already got a gtir with this conversion done!!
i guess what you meant to say was you got shit... lol

dont mean to be funny but get it tested and show us the way :first:

on reflection, why cant the end bearings on the pulsar box be welded together (via plate on outside), surely somebody who knows how to weld alloy can do it, without the usual story of it twisting the box??? ... ???

no i didnt mean to say i got shit, ive got what ive mentioned.

its a custom set up which i doubt most people would even try to attempt.

ive had no issues so far running the standard gtir box so when i do ill get round to testing this one.

the work involved to do this conversion isnt justified unless you plan to run big power.

heres a small list for you,

custom engine and gearbox mounts
custom driveshafts
custom prop
custom exhaust
custom fuel tank or cell
cutting and lowering/ moving of the engine mounts in the chassis
custom adapter plate
custom flywheel
custom rear subframe
mounting of the new gearlever mech and housing, (as its now cable operated)
haldex controller

and thats just the big things

get the picture.......

VSS,

Just out of curiosity, do you have any pictures of the setup??? I'm not going to be doing it myself, but I'm just interested to see what it's like.

Cheers,
Dave
