The "battery"warning light is on. What could be the problem? Could it be the regulator or the atenuator.

Chances are it's the alternator. Make sure the drive belt is still intact, if it is you could try and get the alternator repaired or get a new one.

Sorry, until I need a new one, nope. If you do need one try Gary at the Gtirspares forum or the buying and selling forum.

Depending on which way one of the bolts has been put in if its ever been off before it might be a turbo off job to do  :x
So i would fit a brand new or recon alternator so it doesnt have to be done again
im sure gary can sort you out

Is it easier to change the regulator (if this seems to be the problem). As far as I can see this is fairly easy to reach.

Do you mean I have to take off the turbo to change the alternator???

I removed my a/c pump undone top bolt/adjuster, left bottom bolt in alternator undone bottom bracket and it all came out pretty easily, i'd get a new if where you cos the bearings fail eventually, (mine did after a blast)
