RB26 Swap

Hi Steve,

yes some small ones. But nothing "swap" related.

I`ve just sandblasted the whole underneath of the car and got it sprayed from a friend.

Just to give an independent advice:

Never sandblast your car at home with a cheap 200 bugs sandblast tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

neither sandblast in home, nor with a 200 bugs sandblast tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don´t ask, simply belive it!!!!!!!!!!

onto the edges and still rusty parts i applied "brunox", it´s some kind of rust inhibitor and epoxy sealant. I got it recommended by restaurators and collectors. It´s expensive like liquid gold :)

Anyway, at the end a 2K primer was applied. (not in pictures).

Yes some......

actually i am doing the pipe work supports. And lot of detailed work has to be done, such as clutch reservoir support, abs pump support..... but this work i really love to do, i love to work on metal.....:-D

Also the rear subframe i have sand blasted and primered..... wishbones..... hubs..... and so on.

Next and to me very challenging is the pipe work it self..... brake and fuel...... still searching for a specialist to do it...... maybe you know somebody experienced

progress is still going on...... one by one........ like in paris ;-)

Looking great

Are you going to have to remove the scuttle panel each time to replace the plugs and igniter?

Or you going individual coilpack system?

Where in the world are you?

& is this going to be 4wd like a proper GTR?

Looking at the size of the new rear Diff install this will be 4wd.

Thanks again for posting gti-rb26, amazing stuff, good to see the project still making steady progress
