oil light help

this is prob very silly but why would the oil light come on and stay on?
i checked the level and its slightly high but in my experiance it only comes on when you are running low.
also i had two injectors seaping slightly so i replaced all the seals and it seams to still do it any ideas?
any advice would be good

Low oil pressure will make it come on. It is a pressure switch. A buggered switch will do it too.

yes as above!
try changing the oil pressure switch first, but if light then still comes on then im afraid you have big troubles buddy!

They are differnt. The gauge sender is by the the oil cooler and I imagine the oil pressure switch is close to the sump.

both are fitted to the oil cooler! single spade goes to oil temp. and pressure gauge etc is the large one covered with rubber and 2 wires!

thanks for all the help people but i got in it this morning and every thing was fine.
the pressure was fine yesterday and its the same today.
iv got a feeling it was having a funny five mins.
