High power head light bulbs

I just bought some high power head light bulbs (for those long dark winter nights)

They arrived this morning, reading the packaging it states that they require a 20amp fuse and possible wiring modification :?

Does anyone else use a high power bulb (100/80w) and have you had to mod anything ??

ive got some from halfords which are the same wattage ive had them in for 6 months with no problems :?

I got some ring ice blue bulbs which are 90/100w and mine have worked flawlessly

The only problems ive seen with higher wattage bulbs has been a slightly melted lens on a 330D BMW (plastic)but, our glass will be ok and you will only need to replace the fuse with a 20 if it blows a lot and the standard wiring will take 110-130w ok

Even passed the MOT with them in, and the bulbs were blue :lol:

Well, I must say I'm most disapointed, there not that bright :? 80/100 watt and illegal ??? why??? I could hardly tell the difference from the drivers seat.

Hey ho !!! needed a new bulb anyway :?
