Fault code check procedure

Correct. :)

Check the wiring to the det sensor as it can break or disconnect. The ecu should retard the ignition and cut boost when it detects det. So your car should be feeling sluggish.

when connecting the wire or paper clip to the terminals do you leave it connected while the code are being displayed or do you remove it until the codes have finished?

Thanks

The picture from the manual in the first post says..........Check harness and connector, if both OK replace AFM. So check them both and then replace if necessary.

yes, because you can't read fault codes with a PFC ;) But then again, why would you want to when you can read and log every single sensor and switch on the car :D

Surprisingly the other day the car felt like rubbish on start up.
By luck i noticed my SAFC monitor showing 100% full throttle.
Obviously my foot is off the throttle.
Did the diagnostic check it mentions AFM instead. Odd...

Swap the TPS and everything was fine again.
Odd....

so what could cause the problem there then??

most garages will have a fault code checker but it will cost you about 25 quid.

If your check engine light works then the fault code check should work. Double check the instructions to make sure your doing it right.

Boozyboo. ALL our (7) codes are as listed in the first post. There are no more codes for our car.
