I have a problem with the alternator light coming on occaisionally when driving.
The battery went flat a while ago and after charging it back up I went to take the car out and after a few minutes the light came on so I took the car home and removed the alternator and had it tested. All was OK and when I put it back in I found a wire from the multiplug had come adrift. Fixed it all back together and the light went out.
Took the car out and have done roughly 200 miles since over the space of this week and all has been fine until tonight on the way home from work the light came on again. Drove ten miles with lights, wipers, heater etc on and the car drove fine.
Anyone any ideas why this light keeps coming on. Haven't checked the wires I sorted yet, but just wondered if there were any other things to check while I am there?
