lol i must be the only person who still runs standard rims and actually likes them :oops:

i'd never go above 15's but hey thats just me, some people are in it for the looks i'm one for speed, too fast is never enough :twisted:

unless you're gonna stick a huge set of brakes behind the wheels why put something on the car thats actually going to make it go slower :?: :?

To make it handle better? The standard tyres are too soft when going around corners at high speeds, I think.

Perhaps to get more grip.

To be able to fit decent tyres also.

I wanted to fit 16s but was put off on cost grounds and because there aren't as many options for 16s.

Also 17" tyres are cheaper than 16s.

My ideal would be a set of very lightweight 16s e.g. OZ Super Legs or 5Zigen FN01R-C. From what I've seen they would weight the same as the stock 14s, have pretty much the same rolling radius +/-3%, be wider and have less sidewall flex.

As a side point the Escort Cossie had 225 section 16s as standard and the later Intergrales came on 17s (Compomotive THs I think).

OK you got me, but how long do you think my life expectancy is once the 20's are on :?: Will v be the first knocking on my door with a sorn off shot gun lol
