you have 300 you should be expected to beat them it power to weight an R is just a crisp packet with a big engine.

im used to my 300 now and it doesnt feel too fast. jus needed sumthing to test the r against. probs beat me in the windies tho.

the R is a very special car. I was gonna use this for a year then sell it for an escort cossie but the cossie is no where near as quick as this.

yeh, i had a cossie trailing me a while back but i pulled away, which was probably what blew my piston and made me get the wallet out for rebuild.

My close friend Ross is running 410Bhp on his STi and is running 12.3-12.4's... I've seen many time slips with R's doing this kind of time with under 300Bhp :).. 2600lbs, vs, 3400+ lbs

I have seen of a few WRX STI's a new one and an older one. Both of them werent hard. One in a straight line and one on the twistys, I was running 333bhp.

I havn't raced a Scoob so can't really voice a weighted argument but I really can't see how a 300bhp R would beat an STI easily. Beat it maybe but easily is a completely different kettle of fish, I know they get slagged off a whole lot but they are still good cars with sledgehammer performance.

The two bosses sons in my work just payed around 30 grand each for a 350Z and wrx sti type uk, and i am dying to take in my R (its 300 bhp) but ive been a bit apprehensive because i know if the impreza beats me his smarmy rich kid face will enrage me.

do i really have anything to worry about in a straight line with a good launch? thats all i need to do to put him in his place. :S

It depends which Sti it is. There's about 6 or 7 different ones listed on the site I just looked at. The quickest are mid 12s, the slowest mid13s+. A 300bhp Gtir should be mid 12s easily.

from what i've seen from the local racing scene is that a modded pulsar will beat a 280+ brake subaru in a straight line, both launching from lights

my play with one was from a steady speed of 50ish and then both boosted to 120ish in straight line, tuk him like i pass an integra type r. but he went round the next bend quicker
