I also have the Top Gear video from years back when Clarkson reviewed the Cossie against the 205. The only reason he chose the cossie is price cos it cost £4500 less.

Whoops see what Ive started now. I really like 205GT4's they are a lovely car and very well built not to mention better looking than the competition. Excellent to drive aswell, but like I say my mate had had a few. His first one was running 18 pounds of boost, and in a straight line he found it hard to get rid of my lardarse V6 auto clk. It wasnt slow, but put alongside an equivelent evo, scoob, R it would loose no quibbles. It felt heavy to be honest.

@Jp - yes the cossie is my mate's, he's gonna be selling soon and Im gonna do my best to get it. Its the one that molested every evo at bishopscourt last year. lol :lol:

my mate has a gt4 also and his is running 1.2 bar 3 inch exhaust etc, and tbh its slow, handles well and looks quite good, but it aint very quick for what it is.

I dont know why people think they are really heavy. They are 1380kg. That is lighter than a majority of Evo's, which you really wouldnt consider to be a grand tourer would you?

And stock 5.2secs to 60mph is hardly lardy.

Im managing 4.1sec 0-60mph from mine at the mo, and alot of other owners get similiar times. Not exactly slow if you ask me.

If we're talking standard cars then there isnt much between them speed wise, i reckon the Gt4 would win on handling though. Well my mates old st205 felt better balanced than my R anyway
