Hi Oilman,
I have recently purchased a UK spec Sunny GTI-R which is totally standard apart from some 17 inch wheels. It has just been in for its MOT and the mechanic said the rear diff has a whine. I have booked it in for a complete fluids change for the diff's, engine, rad, brakes etc etc He said to get Mobile 1 5w 30 or 40 engine oil and some GL5 diff oil. What would you recommend?

75w90 for the transmission (fine for all jobs) and 5/10w50 for engine.

I've been using this for years now in customers and my own R' with no issues at all.

Its MUCH more important that oil is changed more frequently than the quality of the oil used. 'Cheaper' fresh oil is better than expensive dirty oil. I'm seeing a lot of new cars coming into the workshop now with blocked oil squirters from lack of frequent oil changes.
