It will quieten down abit as it ages and cokes up inside, but not alot.
You always refit the cat to act as a silencer, but what ever you do to quieten it, you'll be loosing abit of power, if that bothers you at all. (maybe not  )

ask the makers or go to a decent exhaust manufacturer and get them to make you up a nice little silencer for the middle of the exhaust.even if they just fill it with wire wool,it should be enough to take the edge off of the noise and you would be able to swap it in/out without too much trouble.

I just had a 5" goose fitted and I reckon it sounds awsome.
But it would pi$$ me off on Motorways.

Good job I don't use the motorways very often :D

i used to get this with my 4 inch 5zigen but it had a plug that you could bolt in to the tailpipe which took it down to 2 and a half inches. it totally took the boominess out of the exhaust and made it fine for motorway use. you could look at getting something made up at an exhaust place like this. it was held in with 1 allen bolt and was about 4 inces long with a bit of baffle in it.
