Well I've got a couple more things to check, including running the ECU diagnostics. I also want to do a compression check to rule anything engine related! :shock:

Then I'll take it to the garage.

i think it sounds like a maf problem, try swoping it with another, hesitation could mean that the maf thinks its getting less air than it is, hence less fuel being put in, did you clean it before you had the problem or after, which ever still worth trying another one before the powerstation trip, could save you a fortune

Yeah, I did clean it and that made no difference.

I'll see if I can bororw one off someone else for a bit.
