It'll be the rad, happened to me. The plastic end tanks split and leak the water out and causes the cooling system to lose pressure, resulting in higher oil temps.
If you stoped the car in time before the temps got too high, the head gasket should be fine.

If you read the topic properly, I was merely telling grant that DP and DPV are totally diffrent company's with completely different people. Why would I defend DP motorsport, when they ceased trading shortly after RC Developments went bust.
To be fair, Vinny is down to earth and is trying to get the company back up and running properly and to get a good name for himself and the guys that work there. At the end of the day, he was a customer there and saw an oppertunity to take it over when the original DP went down the pan.
