Wont Go Over 5k Revs And Wont Idle

Hello there, my cars got some slight issues, firstly it does not like to hold the revs, so if you leave it idiling for about 15-20 seconds it will automically go off evan if your dirving, another thing it does is that it doesnt go over 4.5 5k revs and it dont feel like its pulling to strong, ive put new spark plugs in, new oil fiilter new fuel filter, and oil change but nothink, its been standing for about 18 months, if any ones got any suggestion it will be very helpful any info much appriecated thanks.

helllo there well i took the maf sensor out and it holds idle at slightly high revs say about 1.2k, do u recon it could be maf sensor as i soon as i put it back in it goes off, how do i do a fault check??
