uprated clutch forks

Hi all,
Getting ready to fit my rb box and thinking of uprating my clutch fork.
Have people just built up the fork with weld from the back?

That's how I understand it; weld a plate across the back where it's prone to bend of break. It doesn't have to look pretty.

Cheers for that mate. So it looks like the plate is preformed prior to welding then?

yes youll need to pre form a plate then weld it to the fork, make sure the dome is a tight fit over existing or its doing nothing.
welding just the centre piece is no good as sometimes the fork splits instead of wearing through the pivot point! also make sure any overhangs are ground off (especially around the arc) as this can cause an obstruction to the release bearing
