I have recently bought another GTi-R but the standard boost gauge does not work. Can anybody tell me what controls this as it is electronic and there is no boost pipe going to it?
Check under the bonnet. On the inner wing by the battery there's a little black box with an electrical connection and a boost pipe attatched. That's the factory boost sensor. Check the boost hose is there and if it is, check there's vacuum with the engine running. You can't realy check for boost unless you plumb in another gauge to that line. If there is vacuum it might be the gauge or the electrics.
