oil pressure

does anyone know what the oil pressure should read? mine runs at around 2 or less. Help please

I would check your oil pressure sender unit on the engine also what oil are you using and what oil filter because 2 is a low at high revs

Mine hangs around 6 when first starting the engine, and then settles around 4 when driving normally.
When accelerating / hard revving it climbs again to around 6 or so. At idle it can go as low as 2 1/2 -3 but i have never seen it any lower.

There was another post here awhile ago regarding oil pressure as well, might pay to go back a few pages as there were alot of people putting their oil pressure readings on that.

What could be wrong with the oil pressure sender unit? what do I look for?

not sure how you check the sender because its variable resistance (I think) you can check the multiplug connectors that go to it or replace it

At what revs does it read 2? If it's all the time you have a problem wether electrical or mechanical, if it's only at idle it's ok, as long as it gets higher when you rev it.
