oil cooler and oil levels

have fitted and filled my fm oil, the hoses are fed behind the ds headlight and across the topleft (as you face the w' screen) of the engine then down the side brake fluid reservoir to the plate so the only drain back is from that last 18-20 inches

after being left to settle it reads to the full mark on the dipstick. is this ok?
this is a stupid question isn' t it  to be sure to be sure

if the sandwich plate has a thermostat in it then after a certain temp it will shut and trap oil in the oil cooler element thus eleminating drain back.from when i fitted mine it took about an extra litre or so of oil to fill the engine.

all i had to do was fill the oil full leave the car to idle then when the cooler element opens the level drops which requires the oil to be topped up to full.

yup thats what i did. iv the mocal 16 row, the pipes still get hot so i guess the oils going round. according to the other thread in tuning its the same setup as the water line with a little hole so thats fine i guess.

i put in about an extra litre too
