No Mileage after fitting new speedo

:shock: I got a speedo off a member on here and I have fitted it. I connected all 4 connectors up to the new speedo and everything seemed to work fine apart from the miles are now not clocking up on the overall mileage meter or the gradual mileage meter. :shock:

The new speedo was missing a little black box that says ODU on it which is only very small and has a 2 pin connector on it. I took this off my old speedo which also worked fine and connected it to the new speedo :!:

Any ideas please 8)

i think the odometer works off a small motor like thing with a small 4 pin plug on the back of the cluster directly behind the odometer it seems that it gets the signal of the speedo so id check there first

I have fitted all the plugs as they were on the old speedo so in theory nothing is different now.

Any ideas any body :?:

Its a duff, you considered taking the guts out of your old odometer and fitting them?
