Are these an ok plug to use? I think the 11 just means they are pre-gapped at .044, is that an okay gap? I can get these discounted at work so i hope they will work.

Check out www.sparkplugs.co.uk for the correct plug for the GTiR.

Afaik, the plug you mention isn't the correct one for the GTiR, although it's not far off. I think the actual plus are BKR7EIX ?!
The stock gap should be 0.7 - 0.8 mm, not sure what that is in imperial sizes. Not that it matters too much though as, if you get the right plug, it will be pre-gapped for the specific application.

It seems that 0.8 mm is about .032 thousandths of an inch so a .044 gap is much too big. Since they are the same exact plug just with a different gap, i wonder if i could close them up a bit.

11 means 1.1mm, so yes too big-close them up.
What boost are you running? 7s may be too hot, you may need 8s if running 1bar, possibly colder if running a big spec.
