hi, i was going to buy a wideband sensor kit and controller, as i am going to do my remapping work on my gti-r.
then i have found this devicem that converts a narrowband a\f meter in a wideband unit when used with a wideband sensor....
what do you think about that converter?will it be reliable or not?

price seems intresting, but performance?

The price is nice enough although i sceptical about the accuracy and besides if your using it to map with you really need one with data logging.

all wideband sensors have a non-linear voltage output, and they all have different curves from each other. Unless that unit is programmable for individual sensors its only going to give a _very_ rough guide to actual AF ratio.

if u want to map car properly use one of there proper wide band controllers and teh bosch sensor i got teh 500 model that plx do and its brilliant and can log 5 other inputs from car
speed revs inj airflow etc
its abvout $500 but well worth teh money

All that convertor does is allow a normal narrowband a/f gauge to be used with a wideband controller. The convertor will do nothing on its own, so you still need to buy one of the controllers.
