The Maxima is better ( Q45 ) as its 10mm bigger than the Z32. Could be a little difficult to map at low RPM because of the lack of resolution giving a possible lumpy idle, but I know someone who used one and it was fine.

would a power fc help overcome any idle problems when everything goes to be mapped, as i have many plans but its a case of waiting for bits to arrive :wink:

sure, the power fc already has a built in correction map for a Q45 so you don't even need to tune it in at all really.

You can select which AFM you want to use from the handset IIRC, I think its called VH41 for the Maxima Q45 and VG30 for the Z32. Heres what it looks like on the datalogit anyway -



You will still need to tweak it a bit for best performance, but the engine will still run run fine with the 'base' setting.

I was just about to put a post up regarding the map of the q45 as i've just bought one as well, so that's saved a bit of time.
Once again, Ross the F.C oracle answers yet another Apexi woe. Top man !. :D
