Having trouble fitting the stud back in on bore 3 bottom bolt hole as when i removed the manifold it came out whole stud instead of just the nut:doh:. any tips? and if i was to leave it out will it leak?

Is it not tightening up? Might of stripped the thread :shock:
happened to me a few years back, used a helicoil kit to put a new thread in, basically drill the hole out with a specific drill size then wind what looks like a spring into the hole, this gives you a steel thread then which is much stronger than the aluminum one!!
What tool u using to get the stud back in?

threads fine just a barsted to get back in with manifold in the way

:lol: bit like most Nuts & bolts under the bonnet...
I always have the exact same problem as you. The way i manage is to just put the two end nuts on a couple of threads on, then pull the manifold right back against them so there's a gap between it and the block then wiggle the mani around when you're trying to get the stud and nut back in. HTH
