Less than slick gear change since replacing oil

I fitted a driveshaft seal and filled the gearbox with some of Silkolenes finest, and ever since it seems a little harder to get it into gears, especially from cold?

Should i expcet this from "race" gear oil, or have a put too much/little in?

Any suggestions?

Cheers

As long as you filled the box up until the fluid came out of the filler hole, then yes you will have enough fluid in.

With regards to the race oil spec, maybe the working temp is considerably higher than the temps we seem to be achieving at the moment in UK.

Speak to the oil man on here to see if the spec suits your application.

Good luck.
