Leaking steering rack

Seems the drivers side is leaking oil,

how easy is it to change the seals, does it all have to come out?

I'm pretty sure it needs to come out as you need to use a press to change hydraulic seals like that. - At least I'm pretty sure that's what Toyota told me when the rack in my Celica went.

damn, thought it might be the case though, does it just pull off the steering column, once the bolts on the cover are removed?

there's a pressure switch that tells ecu to idle up if senses pressure low. i assume its this, as if i turn the wheel (ie. put pressure into system) then idle sits perfect..

i wasnt looking forward to it ... :_(
maybe cheaper to buy a cheap rust free shell at the same time and engine swap the whole lot lol

..or cut the sensor wire so my idle is at least not throwing away money ..
