lamber sensor

ok this might sound like a daft question but just befor christmas i did an oil change. and while the car was in the air i had a good look over her. their is a decat box fitted with a silencer and a port for a after cat sensor. their is no sensor fitted their. it has a plug in it. and in close prox to this their is a chopped wire. this was like this when i got the car. is this a normal modification, or could this be the reason why my R has a flat spot between 5000 rpm and 5500 rpm
eny help would be appreceated

That wire is where the original cat temp sensor would have made conection to the standard CAT. It's not needed so don't panic. It won't be the cause of your flat spot.

Have you still got the side exit exhaust ? was the flat spot there before that was fitted ?

Steve, there is no side exit on that car.

I think it has a doddgy MAF.
