Hello guys just thought I'd say hi to a few old friends if they're still on here, Anyway it's been a while how is the community doing these days, It must be a shrinking fan base I read that there may only be a 100 GTIR's on road in the UK now.

Mine isn't on the road and will probably be sold as I'm to old and fat to drive it now, But I hope it eventually goes to a true enthusiast and not some boy racer.

Couldn't find a picture of my new one but here's my old car next to my mate Mics red one.

Alright Rob

Some of us are still here, just getting mine almost road worthy for 2026 (fingers crossed)

Did you ever get your car roadworthy in the end?

Hi Andy, No mate I've not seen it for 11 years it's just been stored the completely rebuilt engine and quaife box, Have done zero miles infact the engines has never been started since it was built.

As soon as I get my jeep fixed hopefully next week I'm going up to get the car unless I can persuade Martin to arrange for it to be delivered, I've got about a £1000 saved up to cover the cost either way.

Once I've got it down here I'll see what's what and put it for sale, I haven't really got the money to get it all mapped and running 100%, I'm sure it's fine it's been dry stored so the engine should be fine, The throttle bodies are closed so no moisture should of got into the engine.

We will see once I have it back.

You c##t , OK to old then .

I'm 62 this year walk with a stick and have a fcked back, So just getting in and out of a pulsar these days would be a challenge, I now drive a grand cherokee made for fat Americans and I barley git in that.

Hopefully I can find a true enthusiast to sell it to I'm not to keen on selling it to anyone under 30 if I'm honest, I don't want some chav to bling it up with tacky carbon and neon lights.

Anyway old fella how are you keeping these days ?, I miss the old days and the brutal banter of the old gtiroc, The rolling road days and meet ups used to be a lot of fun.

I'm OK. Yes, the good old days were fun. It's very quiet in here now. I think a lot of it is on Facebook. I've still got my rot box. I might put it back on the road one day. I miss the acceleration but cars have moved on so much. 10s were fast back then, now it's 8s.

Indeed just look at some of these cars these days from the factory with 700-800 BHP, My favourite one in the grand cherokee trackhawk rolls off the production line with 707 BHP its an SUV ffs, One version of the ford Mustang has over 800 bhp and then there's the bmw's and audi's, They all make our pulsars look like snails.

But I still love the little pocket rocket it has soul.
