Heater fan resistor. Where is it & where to get a new on

This morning my heater fan decided to only work on setting 4 (1,2 & 3 dead).

I have run a search on the forum and concluded that it must be the heater fan resistor, but there is no detail of where this actually is or where you can get a new one :?

I checked the 2 15A fuses that are for the heater and they are fine.
I have also PM'd a couple of peeps who have had this problem in the past, in order to find the solution, but no answers yet.

If anybody has the answers, please let me know so I can get this fixed asap.

Thanks in advance :)

The resistor is underneath the glovebox to the left hand side, its screwed in by 2 screws and is about the same size as a credit card. Its basically a circuit board, quite common for them to burn out! Theyre about £25 from Nissan if i remember??

Thanks Guys,

Found the little fcuker, looks like a standard part, nothing fancy. Should be able to get one off a sunny at the breakers yard :)

Just done a quick fix with a soldering iron for now :? , all fan speeds seem to be working ok, but doubt it will last long.

I'll go to the breakers yard tomorrow.

Thanks again, I wouldn't have known where to start looking
