headlights not working...

my main beams arn't working at all. the lights only work on dipped or full beams. all the other lights etc in and around the car work fine.

what are the possible faults[?]

Dodgy wiring most likely.

Check the wiring behind the headlights.

Although if it's both of them thats failed it could be further up the line ie. switches, fuses, relays etc.

loose connection on the relays [?] faulty relays [?] or the main beam fuse, [?]

errrr the bulbs had blown[:I][)]

i didnt realise there are separate bulbs for the side lights and that the full beams are on a separate filiment to the main beams, even though they are in the same bulb.
