Headgasket question - urgent!

I bought a metal headgasket and it reads - 0.057" ' (i think this is inches)

How much is that in 'mm' cause i know the stardard one is 1.2mm and i wanted to get something slightly thicker???

x25.4 I think :wink:

= 1.4478mm

let me confirm though..........

is the standard h/gasket 1.2mm or 1.4mm??

dammit!!!........than i'll be getting the same thing...............except that it's metal...............

would that make a difference in performance or safety???

The steel one will be safer, take for example the HKS 1.2mm one, very popular when tuning the engine. Works great even if it 0.2mm thinner then the stock one.

how come you're saying the hks is 0.2mm thicker at 1.2mm.......the previous guys said the the stock one is 1.4mm...........???
