Head haircrack - is it serious ?`

the cylinder has been detonating (det, pinking/whatever you want to call it)

You can see little pin holes in the cylinder head, that is caused by det.

The cracks will be caused by excessive heat, the heat in the exhaust valves getting the hottest causes the crack to go from the exhaust seat (often going from exhaust seat to exhaust seat)

The piston looks like the surface of the moon, again caused by det. It has been so bad that it's caused the piston to fail.

The No2 cylinder looks fine so my guess would be a possible problem with the injector on that cylinder.

hi !

can i reuse the head ? or better get a new one ?
the crack is on 3rd cylinder i think.

all the little holes were caused by parts of the pistons rings.
i started the engine without spark plug and got 3 pieces
of the pistons ring.

on 3rd pic you can see the rest of the ring.
several pieces were found in the head under
the exhaust valves.

thank you
