I was wondering what the going rate is for 4 wheel lazer alignment :?:

Ive been quoted £35 from a local garage.

Does this sound reasonable? :?

thats not bad but i bet it wont be camber etc as only a few places or a nissan garage will tackle that

No it doesnt include camber but they do do it.
Hourly rate for the camber to be set up.

Anyway, its going in first thing tomorrow for everything to be set up.

I just thought id check just in case i was getting ripped off.

Thanks for your help lads

:D

If it is by the hour i would get some WD40 on everything, the last thing you want is them spending 2 hours freeing everything off and only 20 mins to adjust it!

Took it in this morning but they said my tyre profile was too low :?
They couldn't get the lazer equipment to fit!

Going back tomoz wid my 15's

Last time i had my old R it cost £80 for alignmet and that included camber.

otter the wheels and tyres you have aligned should be the ones you intend to use as changing the wheels and tyres back will through out the setup

I'd like to see anyone adjust the front camber on an 'R without adjustable camber bolts or top-mounts added....

The angle will surely be the same??? :?
I wouldnt have thought the size of the wheel would make that much difference.

Ive got JIC coilovers with some fancy pillow ball top mounts. Should do the job nicely 8)

I'll make sure i keep clear of your spot then!

So does it sound about right that the lazer equipment wont fit around my 17's wid 40profile tyres on :?:
Or rather that it does fit but my profile is to low to get an accurate reading(?!)
Sounds a bit odd to me!!

Look we all know the proper way to adjust your camber is drill out the holes on your strutt, the bigger the drill the more adjustment!

That price is probably just a basic setup.Check with them what's included and if it's castor/camber etc then you're laughing.

Im laughing all right!!

£40.!!!!!! :D And

That included swaping my wheels over to my 15's, raising all of the bottom spring platforms, 4 wheel lazer alignment and my front camber set up.

Oh, and they even made me a coffee while i waited!!

I must say that after having the platforms moved up so that the spring is secure against the top platform the car is much more comfortable to drive.
It handles just aswell ( i think :?: ) but it just isnt as back breaking!
Im gonna have a play with the dampening later.
