Its now on the floor found the cause of the grinding noise part of the thrust bering had broken off making it engage at an angle.

Question now is what should I replace in the box while it getting a re con just what the guy says is worn or should some parts be replaced as a matter of course :?:

yes mate i would replace all the bearings and seals while its out and check the syncros are not worn
