HI I'm getting my gearbox oil changed tonight and wondered what oil to use??
I know redline MT90 has been quoted as $hit hot but what alternative should I use if I can't get this at such short notice??

Also do any seals need replacing or anything?

Thanks
Andrew

Castrol Syntrax, not easy to find either but easier than the Redline stuff.

No seals need replacing in the process (unless you have a leak).

Thanks J-GTI-R and all-didn't get it done in the end cos my mate is a wimp and doesn't like working in the rain. Going to go with the syntrax anyway as quite a few skylines apparently use it with good results.
It's just so f*&king stupid that everywhere only does it in 1ltr bottles!!!!!

Thanks
Andrew

Mike/ex-gtir was pretty sure my box had syntrax in it when he did the seals and even though I've never changed it (so no idea how long it was in) he reckoned the oil was as fresh as new. Must be good then!

No need to replace any seal as I recall, and you don't need to change tranny oil very often anyway, so it is worthwhile to go for good stuff (i.e. MT90) IMO.
