i dont get it why will they stop working in the winter, they are electronic afterall, you dont see anything else stop working like wipers etc, and if they do stop working there must be a way around it

Of course they'll still work in winter, unless of course the car is frozen solid.:doh:

As for Jap fitting Euro - all depends on whether the wiring loom is present for them. Nissan were very kind in fitting the same wiring to their cars so sometimes all the wires for the bits you don't have are already on the car. You could be in luck, but never gonna know for sure until you try.;-)

As GTiR-Kid says there may be wiring in there ready as alot of the manufacturers do this to save time after if people want to upgrade etc.
