Dizzy cap wear

What would cause significant wear of two of the four contacts within the dizzy cap? Its got to the extent of the actual plastic casing being chipped away at. But, the other two seem fine.

There supposed to be like that you plumb :lol:

When you do get a new one though, get it from Nissan as the quality seems a little better that the Halfords one.

The two contacts which I highlighted though look as if they have been scuffed up and "look" damaged. Does not really show up in the picture.

You will find that is just oxidisation caused by the spark arking across to the terminals mate,just normal wear and tear .
