Coolant Temperature Sensor

Hi

Can anyone tell me please how much a coolant temperature sensor would cost and also how much of a job it is to replace.

depends on whether you mean the one to the ecu or the one to the temp gauge?
there both fairly easy to get at if you have little diddy girly hands:lol:
but i think there a pain to get in at (under l/h side of inlet bodies)
i find it easier to remove oil filter and get at them from the bottom!

dont know how much they are from nissan, but i have fully working s/h ones, if you dont mind going down that route!

Ecu Coolant sensor is £23 ish from Nissan and the Temp sender for the gauge is around £9.50 ish iirc.There is also a how to guide floating around(maybe on the darkside) that i wrote for easy changing of the Ecu Coolant sensor.

Out of interest is it possible for the ecu sensor to be not working at it's best and affecting performance with out it throwing up a fault code?
