Change 1 Tyre or all 4???

I have 1 tyre that needs replacing on my R and was wondering.
Is it best to change all 4 tyres at the same time(stay with me i am going somewhere)
or is it alright to change just the 1???

my reasoning is that i remember that the transfer boxes used to get screwed easily on
calibra's if you had different wear levels on the tyres.
I know its not a calibra but is there any sort of problem with pulsars??
Does it put any extra strain on the diffs or transfer box??

I've never replaced just one tyre mate, i replaced the front 2 more often than the back, i guess it's best to replace the front 2 together and the back 2 together (so not having to replace all 4, just each on the axle.)

I'de recommend changing them in pairs at least, then you car should remain fairly stable under cornering. We don't suffer diff lock like the Calibras (allegedly )

just wanted to make sure theres no probs with the diffs etc.
