just got a mongouse cat by pass went to fit it cant
get sensor of cat :x ordered new one from nissan (part no 22690 54coo)
100% wrong as has 3 pin plug and is wrong size spoke to nissan told me
it the only one they do!!! has any one had this problem? has any 1 got
any info on this ????

I think most people just disconnect this and shove the cables back into the cabin.

Dunno if you need to short them out or anything....

I'm sure someone knows!

sound like they gave you a lambda sensor mate, not the cat temperature sensor, the cat temp sensor can be unplugged under the drivers seat or you can just insulate the inner and outer wires from each other)and all this will do is stop the car putting the "hotdog" light on on the dashboard when the cat gets very hot to warn you to take your time.

But as you will have no cat you will be fine and unplugging it is what most do. Make sure you do unplug/insulate the wires though or the light will come on, on the dash and sometimes the car wont rev past around 2000rpm , i had this happen highly embarrising.

You have confused the cat temperature sensor with the lambda sensor. The cat temp sensor goes in the cat, when you remove the cat just unplug it or cut the wires as it isnt needed (its a jap thing :roll: ) The lambda sensor is in the manifold.
