Brand new suspension clonk/bang - good job i checked it!

Had all new suspension fitted in January (Tein with top mounts, front wishbones and all bushes front and back).

Recently it has been creaking a bit, then clonking and finally a couple of bangs!!! Luckily I hardly ever drive the car so wasn't too worried (until it started clonking/banging).

Jacked it up this morning to find the front wishbone rear mounts were loose, allowing 2mm of up and down travel!

It looks like it has ripped the metal up which rollbar bolts on or is it supposed to be like it or does it need welding up pronto?

Yeah it needs welding, the chassis rails are made of tin and the front roll bar is very stiff so everytime you corner it will pull it further away.

Got this done today (both sides), £160 all in.

Not bad considering he had to remove the wishbones, rollbar, carpets and then put in some new metal and under seal too.

Car seems stiffer in cornering now = bonus (maybe psychological though!)
