right noticed the last couple of days that my battery light has lit up in the dash, and today the head lights have dimmed slightly. I know the battery is fine as it was replaced a few weeks back, so presuming its the alternator???

I need one of these asap as I use my car daily for work, can anyone help???

West Midlands based.

the dash light is telling you that you are losing voltage.

Normal causes are alternator related poor connection, loose belt, regulator/brush pack etc.

The likely result if you dont sort it is that the car will die as you r driving along due to the electrics running off the battery. when the battery voltage gets low you will grind to a halt. You will not be able to start the car until the battery is charged !!.

Thanks

Check the belt tension and alternator for loose/disconnected wires first, after that, chances are it's the alternator itself.
