Anyone recommendtions 4 a Clutch change ?

South Yorkshire Regional Rep
My 'R is slowly sucummbing to the dreaded clutch slip :x  , so does anyone have any recommendations for a place to take it for an upgrade ( was thinking AP Organic clutch ).

I live in South Yorkshire, but am prepared to travel a bit ( was thinking of Hiteq / John Noble in Chesterfield possibly?).

Also, can anyone recommend getting the flywheel lightened and balanced, or getting another 1 instead (eg JUN etc ...), I am intending to run over 300 bhp on the car once this is done !

Thanks in advance,

Steve

run the least aggressive clutch you can for your power goals. THe organic clutches from AP and Helix can handle 320lb/ft of torque. That is more than adequate for you if you are going for 300bhp (around 260-280lb/ft of torque with that)

From trying other people's cars the Helix seems easier on your left leg than the AP, but both have good reputations for holding resonable amounts of torque.

Still waiting on some shims!
I use the HKS Ceramic Paddle Clutch with HKS pressure plate...

Its been excellent...

Its mean't to hold silly amounts of torque...
