another boost problem

ok people ive been running at just under 1bar for a while now on my sard EBC and it been going very well, but just noticed ive got an echaust blow coming from the manifold.
a few days back i noticed a big missfire in 3rd gear when im flooring it,so i watched the boost gauge when i hammered it and it was reading 1.4 bar!
my controller is set at just under a bar so was wondering if the manifold blow has any effect on the boost? i tried setting it at less psi but it still went to 1.4bar! could it simply be a boost leak? i havent checked the pipes yet as ive been working and its always dark when i get back!

manifold blowing would reduce it if anything.

If it's a solenoid boost controler the solenoid could be broken as with mine!

ok ive had my bleed valve back on for a while now and its running 1bar no probs. so that rules out a boost leak, but apart from the solenoid being buggerd, is there anything else it could be that i can check? bleed valve does a good job but its not quite the same as the sard controller!!

the plenum one has been capped off! And wouldnt it effect the boost with the bleed valve aswell?
