Just wondering
those with 4 pot Wilwood or Hispec
i understand basically it come with 285mm to 300mm range disc

wondering
do this brake kit is good enough to stop the car ?
assuming a 350hp spec GTiR
on high speed braking

as well assuming i using it on 15" wheel with branded tire

It all depends on the type of 15" wheels you use as the Wilwood 285mm disc will fit under 15" wheels but you have to be carefull about the calipers depth i.e. the front face of the caliper may pretrude to far forward and hit the spokes of the wheel.

I personally went for the 310mm discs with Wilwoods and they are mounted behind 16" Enkei wheels with no problems at all with clearance.

The bigger the lever arm you can manage the better the stopping power but as far as i know the people who have the 285mm disc option have no problems at all. To be honest as long as you have the 4 piston calipers im sure you would be able to stop pretty efficiently with standard diameter discs.

Hope that helps,

Ant.

I've got the 280mm Wilwood kit and find it more than up to the job of stopping my car :)

Admittedly I only run a mere 300bhp, but that figure should have increased before long ;) and I will still be confident with my brakes:D
