hi i was just wondering if anyone had any tips on removing the idle control valve, i can see the too bolts at the front of it, but not sure how many bolts are hidden behind the intake manifold,i had a feel about but couldn't feel anymore bolts, so was just needing to know if i need to take the intake manifold off, to get the idle control valve off ?

Thanks....

I did it with the inlet mani in place but it took a few hours and shredded my arms.Replaced it with one I got from a scrappy and had cleaned up.Result-no difference in idle at all.

took mine out completely. left it out.makes head gasket changes a relatively simple affair. cracked the butterflies further open on the screws to get an idle.

yeah i have got 2 bolts off so far with the inlet on but can't see or feel a 3rd lol

It has three hex bolts and two plugs for sensors it will also need a new gasket .
was planing on just sticking it back on with loctite gasket seal, but if i take the inlet off i will order the gasket and replace the inlet gasket at the same time.
