Yet more problems.......please help!

Ok so the cars been in the garage (AGAIN) and now when hooked up to the Nissan computers it is coming up with a camshaft positioning sensor fault. The mechanic said it was basically a new dizzy job and that it will be expensive........!!!!! Anyone know about this?????

check it is plugged in properly, four pin plug under the dizzy, i plugged mine in the wrong way which is possible, it then showed a fault code 1-1.
also why are you paying somebody to do a fault code check when it shows you how to on here, save yourself some money

Car was in having the det sensor wiring checked out after i had found a fault doing the code check myself. Nissan were supposed to have fixed that problem then found this one with the camshaft position sensor!!!

I dont know about the cam positioning sensor but i just bought a new dizzy cap and rotor arm for £17 yesterday.

Local motor factors.

Posibly try these before you try a new dizzy.
