How can it be checked yet they not know whats in it :doh:. I guess my Pulsar is a rally car aswell as it has gauges, WRC here I come!

The RB engine is no different to the standard engine as far as I know. Maybe a slightly different map, but that's it. You could probably buy cheaper elsewherey

Dont know why anyone would pay 1k for a stock engine anyway, could pick up a spares and repairs Pulsar for that sorta cash!

Seconded - the only difference is the ECU, and even then I think it's just that it doesn't have anything to control the air-con.

The fact it was in a rally car in Japan probably means it was thrashed, so that makes it less valuable surely?

No I most definitely wouldn't buy an engine out of one of the low ratio cars, It would of spent most of it's life screaming its nuts off due to the low ratio box.

To be honest I wouldn't buy a second hand pulsar engine off anybody, How many pulsar owners do you know that don't rag the fuck out of their cars day in day out, Even the most well looked after ones have had a hard life compared to most other makes of car.

I'd rather strip my own and do a basic rebuild if it came to it ever again.

I got a reply from my message to him. I asked him if he knew that the 'dakar' model did not exist....... This was his answer:

We specialise in scoobys got told that it is a dakar by sum1 in uk, so wat edition is this its ivory with winde down windows??
