would a code11 effect my boost...?

still having a problem with my car getting full boost(1.2 bar)...basically it will some times boost ok then the next time it won't boost past .5 bar:evil: , ihave done numerous code checks before and all came back 55, now i did another one tonight and got a code 11 (crank angle sensor)so what i want to know is would this affect my car being able to hit boost and why ...cheers in advance:thumbsup:

try fitting a different distributor as the sensor is located in there!
it would effect boost as your ignition timing maybe constantly altering as it cannot read tdc correctly on firing stroke, which in turn will give very irratic running.

had a guy came to me the other day with the same code where his car was overfuelling and running shite before it packed up altogether, he called rac when car broke down on road and they put a consult on it and came up with that code but the problem was actually his rotor arm grub screw had sheared which made the car fire very irratically then not at all (this brought up the error code) so may be worth checking that first;-)
